Like most car repairs, you have two options: Bust out your toolbox or hire a pro. This job will require special tools, although they aren’t expensive. At least at first, that is … and assuming you use them right. But if you’re the type who regularly dings up the family car or has bad luck with stray shopping carts in parking lots, learning to perform paintless dent removal might be worth the investment in time and money. Maybe you’ll even find out you’ve got “the magic touch” with sheet metal. The Dent Shop  (469) 233-5880

Paintless Dent Repair(PDR) is the process of removing minor dents that have occurred from hailstones, we do this from the underside of the car panels. The first step is what we refer to as the removal and installation (R&I) of the inner-works and an interior portion of the car, for example, the headliner is temporarily removed for access to the roof or the interior door panel will be removed for access to any dents on the side of the vehicle.

A technician will then use specialized lighting above the car which reflects the dents so he is able to manipulate or massage the dents continually until the right height is reached and the dent eventually disappears. When there are literally hundreds of dents on a car, the process is repetitive and tedious, but it will restore the value of the hail damaged car, without having the use conventional methods of repair such as refinishing and repainting. The Dent Shoprepairs would normally require fillers, and painting to be done. This does not fix the damage to your car, but rather it simply hides the damage to your car. Paintless dent repair is far safer and does not require the chemicals and products that a body shop would need. On top of that, typical repair times at a body shop could be days or even weeks and longer. Aside from hail damage repair situations, a typical small dent or door ding or even something large can be repaired within a day. In the event of hail damage, most body shops will keep your vehicle for weeks and maybe even a month. With a paintless dent repair shop, that same repair is more often about one week instead. Better Vehicle Resale Value

Retaining your original paint job is better for the long-term resale of your vehicle. The original paint used on your vehicle is higher quality than most aftermarket paint. Not only is keeping your original paint better for resale, it means you will not wind up driving a car with a mismatched paint job. It can be difficult to perfectly match the original paint of your vehicle, leading to discoloration over time.
