How long does it take to fix a car with hail damage?
When hail damage happens, many questions come to your mind and you are looking for answers. The biggest factor that holds people back from getting their vehicle repaired immediately is being without transportation.
Don’t be panic. If your hail damage does qualify for Paintless Dent Repair, you are so lucky. The amount of time your vehicle will be in the shop for repairs really depends on the severity of the damage. For only a few hail dents, the process usually takes only an hour or so. For more severe hail damage, like the kind that seems to cover your entire vehicle, the entire process usually takes between 1-3 days.
If 1-3 days is a deal breaker, don’t worry. If your insurance policy doesn’t cover a car rental for you to drive while your vehicle is in the shop, we will. The Dent Shop (469) 233-5880
All hail damage does not need repair, often when there is damage to our vehicles, we want it fixed right away. We don’t often recommend letting damage go without repairs, especially when there could be underlying problems that you can’t see on the surface. But in the case of light hail damage, you can sometimes get away with not repairing the vehicle.
There are issues to be aware of when you don’t repair the hail damage. First, if you file an insurance claim, and collect the money but don’t repair, you won’t be able to get hail coverage in the future. It’s off the table at that point. Second, if you don’t have insurance that covers hail damage, you won’t be able to get coverage in the future until the damage is repaired. The Dent Shop (469) 233-5880
